Anna Silk
Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is Anna Silk (born January 31, 1974) is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her part as Bo in the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay who is director of drama and producer at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Silk's father Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories as being at play rehearsals together with her mother. Silk appeared as a little girl in commercials. She received a Bachelor's of Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met during an Actorsworkshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They were engaged the year 2009 and wed in a civil ceremony in December of the same year. They renewed their vows on the 10th of April in Fredericton in a Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in May 2016. Silk's work on television is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale. She announced the news to viewers on the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th that the show would return to its production. Season Four debuted on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN's Cable News Network named her role as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named the couple as the top TV Couple for 2013.
